Helping a Central American River Turtle

Encountered a Hicatee (male), an endangered specie, in distress in the Belize river. Upon approach we noticed it had gotten entangled on a fishing line. We were able to carefully cut the barb off and remove the hook (luckily none went through anything major). It Was then safely released on the river bank where it crawled into the river.
