Cave Tubing Adventure Guide

Cave Tubing is a fun and adventurous "tour", where you float down the river and through caves on an inner tube.

The Mayas believed that caves were entrances to the underworld or Xibalba and it is where the Rain God lived. The deeper you travel into the cave the closer you would get to the Rain God. Active use of caves became more common in around 700 AD because of the lack of rain and therefore every year the maya farmers reaped less and less. When you enter these caves you feel as though you have been swallowed by Mother Earth and as you travel trough, your mind forces you to imagine how it was for the mayas back then--- This only adds to the fun.

Then we exit the third cave and it is bright with sunshine. We continue to float down stream speeding up as we float over some small rapids. When you reach the rope at the starting/finishing point you feel like a little child . . .Again! Again!

• 🌸 8 a.m More or Less we Leave after breakfast for Cave Tubing in our private van -- We try to arrive at Cave Tubing early to beat the Crowds
• 🌸 Arrive at Cave Tubing Gate Your Entrance Fee is taken care of
• 🌸 Last chance for Restroom -- Then we collect our Helmets, life jackets and inner Tube.
• 🌸 Approximately 30 minute Relaxed walk to entrance of the FOURTH CAVE-- remember we're on a private cave tubing adventure and in no rush -- we take our time.
• 🌸 We go thru the caves (don't worry there are no small spaces and a exit isn't far out of sight)
• 🌸 Restroom stop and then off to lunch Email us to add Zipline to your Adventure and/or the Belize Zoo for a full day or Adventuring.
• 🌸 Return to Howler Monkey Resort

 

What to bring for the CAVE TUBING Adventure:

• 🌼 WATER SHOE is a must have or closed toe shoe you don't mind getting wet
• 🌼 bathing suit
• 🌼 beach towel
• 🌼 change of clothes
• 🌼 mosquito repellent
• 🌼 reusable water container
• 🌼 a couple of dollars for lunch or souvenirs
• 🌼 hiking shoes
• 🌼 Reef Safe Sun Screen
• 🌼 drinking Water
• 🌼 big serving of your adventureous spirit
